I hold an MLS from Syracuse University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde. I am currently a PhD candidate working on a study of Americans resident in Scotland, 1850-1900. My research interests include immigration and migration and British and American records. I am also keenly interested in genealogical education and am a founder member of AGES (Association of Genealogy Educators and Schools).
