Stephanie Carbonetti, CG®, is a Board-certified genealogist located in the Chicago area. As a full-time professional genealogist, her research specialties include forensic genealogy, family histories and problem solving. She serves on the board of the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogists and is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Chicago Genealogical Society serving as 1^st Vice President. Also, she has previously served on the Illinois State Genealogical Society Board, national genealogical conference committees, and a ProGen Study Group mentor.

Stephanie has an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a master’s from Loyola University Chicago. She is a sixth-generation Kentuckian and thanks to her paternal grandmother’s love for sharing family history, she is continuing that same passion.
