Simran Noon brings a unique perspective to lineage and family research, having education and professional experience in both business/marketing communications, as well as genealogy through the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate Program and her work with various lineage societies. She first fell in love with storytelling as a child listening to her grandmother’s tales of small-town, Midwest farm life. Simran is able to combine her tenacious sleuthing skills with the art of storytelling in order to empower clients to discover the richness of their own family histories. Simran has garnered a wide variety of research experience over the last 19 years, but she particularly enjoys lineage research, Midwest, Upper South and New England geographic regions; mixed-race & African American genealogy; Northern India and Partition storytelling; as well as researching the history of old homes and the families that lived in them. She believes that the untold histories of one’s ancestors can often profoundly affect the patterns of one’s life, and it is her belief that “You can’t know where you are going if you don’t know where you’ve been.” Simran is a sought-after speaker, particularly in the area of lineage research, and is a very active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), holding several positions within the national, state, and local organizations. She has completed all of the DAR's Genealogical Research Program curriculum. When she’s not researching, Simran enjoys spending time with her family and a menagerie of rescued shelter animals at their 183-year-old connected farmstead in New England.
