I assist individuals and organisations connect to history, by uncovering and preserving the stories and personalities that shape the families and world of today.
As I'm located in the central area of Victoria, Australia, I have easy access to archives and historical societies in Central, North, East and West of Victoria. I also regularly visit the Victorian Archives Centre and State Library of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia.
In 2024, I completed the Diploma of Family History at University of Tasmania (UTAS) and Oral History for Beginners with Oral History Victoria (OHV).
I'm a committee member of the Bendigo Historical Society, where I manage their website and social media.
I also have project management, statistics and data analysis qualifications and experience - all helpful skills for planning and completing any size genealogical or historical research projects.
I've been researching my family tree for over 10 years and I'm the keeper of my family's history. My great grandfather's postcards from World War I reveal a lot about his values and strong family connections. Whilst letters written to my grandmother during World War II tell a story about the lives of Australian women, when the world was focusing on men.
