• Family History Research

 I have been the family historian since my grandmother passed me the torch "so to speak". She taught me everything about genealogy starting in 1972 as a 16 year old until she passed in 1986. For years it was a fantastic hobby while raising my children and my professional life as a critical care nurse took most of my time. For the last 10 years I have been a part time professional genealogist and now as a retired nurse I have much more time for clients. I am comfortable researching in any area but specialize in the southeast, particularly North and South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.  I can help in any capacity; lineage assistance, First Family Programs, DAR application, large complex family histories or just a simple family tree but with all the sources and citations. I have taken many genealogy classes including document deciphering and photo dating. I am the incoming president of the Haywood County Historical and Genealogy Soceity and the Registrar of the Hugh Rogers Chapter, of the NSDAR.
