Revis Leonard is a genealogical researcher who is passionate about telling the stories of our ancestors. Drawing from both traditional genealogy and DNA (genetic) genealogy methodologies, Revis adheres to rigorous standards as she unravels biological family connections, expands family trees, and delves into cherished family lore.

With nearly 30 years of experience as a legal assistant for a standing panel Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee in the Western District of Texas, Revis embarked on her genealogical journey over 20 years ago under the mentorship of Texas historian and author, Julia Cauble Smith, her paternal 1C1R (first cousin once removed).

S.P., March 2019
I met Revis at a genealogy retreat that she lead. I learned so much as a beginner student and I really enjoyed her class. She was able to make it easy to follow her instructions and was so helpful to help me find a relative that showed up at the top of my DNA list. Revis really inspired me that week. I became so interested in genealogy that I am still interested and now I want to help others find someone when they get stuck in their research. I highly recommend anyone interested in futhering their research and getting the most out of their time, to sign up for one of Revis' classes.

B.G., ongoing since early 2000s
Revis and I found each other during my search for my bio father. Through our search we discovered that I'm related to her spouse and I descend from a Kolb line which is her father's line. She was relentless in helping me from the beginning until the very end. There were many times I told her I'm just giving up (DNA testing). She kept encouraging me to be patient and at some point in time the right person will test and we'll have an answer. It did happen. My birth father had passed away in the '90's so I never got to meet him. I never could have accomplished this on my own! Still today I can call her and she's quick to help me get on track with my new search.
