My research focus is United States family history and house history in the 19th and 20th centuries. I am also interested in capital mitigation research.
My passion for family history began when I started researching my maternal line. My 2nd and 3rd great grandmothers faced so many hardships but they survived and that's why I am here today. (See my article from the California Genealogical Society's California Nugget: "Prudence Beamish Oaks: An Independent Woman").
Learning about these women and sharing their stories with my family helped us realize how much our past informs our present. There are so many untold stories just waiting to be
revealed. I'd love to be part of your journey of discovery!

My genealogical education is ongoing through attending webinars & workshops, listening to podcasts, and reading books & articles.
I have participated in formal genealogical trainings including:
-
ProGen Study Groups, Cohort 33
-
National Genealogical Society's American Genealogical Studies (AGS): The Basics
