As Quality Assurance Manager, I lead Legacy Tree Genealogists' editorial group, which ensures we produce the best possible work for our clients.

With more than twenty years of experience in scholarly and trade publishing, primarily in history and genealogy, I've managed book and magazine projects from acquisition to publication. Projects I've edited have been honored by the Indiana Center for the Book, the Chicago Book Clinic, and ForeWord magazine's Book of the Year competition.

I'm also an experienced writer and teacher. I've lectured and co-conducted workshops on writing and publishing topics at regional and national genealogical conferences, including Midwestern Roots, the National Genealogical Society annual conference, the Federation of Genealogical Societies annual conference, the Illinois State Genealogical Society fall conference, the Ohio Genealogical Society annual conference, and the Indiana Genealogical Society annual conference.

Recent publications include articles in FGS: Forum and The Hoosier Genealogist: Connections.

Concepts in writing, editing, and publishing for family historians; society publications management; working with sources (such as historic newspapers and government documents); and research management.
