Nancy Neville Cordell, Ph.D. is a professional genealogist and anthropologist who earned a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University. She earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology, specializing in biological anthropology, in 1991 at the University of Washington, Seattle. She taught Biological Anthropology to undergraduates for 30 years. Always interested in digging up her own family history, Dr. Cordell has researched her own ancestry and that of others for over 15 years. Nancy is the owner of Diggin’ Our Past. She specializes in DNA analysis and African American research. She is currently the president of the Puget Sound Chapter of Professional Genealogists.
