Hello there! Before we get underway, I want to thank you so much for taking a moment to review my information and credentials. You have a lot of great experts at your disposal here and I am excited at the prospect of being the one who can help you on your family history journey!My name is Lori Donovan Roberts (no need for formalities though, Lori will do just fine) and I have been working as a genealogist for more than fifteen years. Like many in this field, I got my start researching my own family history and caught the bug. I quickly took advantage of every educational opportunity that presented itself, and in 2020, during the pandemic I dove straight in and got my Certificate from the University College Cork, Ireland.
While a substantial amount of my experience is based in America and the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales), I have also had great success for clients in Canada, Germany, Italy and Slovakia. From basic family history to identifying birth parents for adoptees, my research has helped individuals from all walks of life learn more about the branches of their family that helped shaped them, sometimes more than they realized.
I encourage my clients to utilize DNA testing, and will cast a wider net for them for no additional fee, to all of the major DNA providers. Privacy is always respected and no personal information is ever shared in the process. DNA testing and reserach can be a very effective and safe way to delve deeper into your roots.
