Leslie Ray Sears, III  received a BSEE from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the US Army Signal Corps 1974-1982.  He has been working on the Sears Family History since 1976 and is author of Sears Genealogical Catalogue c.1992 and a follow-on series of newsletters. He graduated from the University of Utah MBA, 1974.  After finishing his Army career he worked as a licensed Professional Engineer in the oil patch for Halliburton Services for 17 years and received patents for his work on oil well cementing instrumentation. Ray worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation on Air Force contracts at Tinker AFB for 17 years retiring as Systems Engineering Manager in 2018.  He completed the SLIG Academy for Professionals- Beyond Fundamentals: Hands On Forensic Genealogy in Apr 2022.  He has since worked as an independent Personal Representative, Special Administrator and Trustee for 13 different estates in Oklahoma.  He has written reports to determine heirship for 75 forensic genealogy cases.
