Laura has roots in colonial-era America but also descends from Ashkenazi Jews, as well as, German and Irish immigrants who settled mostly in New York and New Jersey throughout the 1800s. She enjoys using DNA along with traditional genealogy research methods to solve issues of adoption and misattributed paternity, and to work through complex brickwalls.

Perhaps you're just starting to think about those who came before you. Maybe you have begun to explore your family history and got overwhelmed along the way. You may be a seasoned family historian looking for a fresh perspective or new inspiration. You might be looking for broad research about your family tree or have a specific question about a person, time, or place. Whether you are just getting started or working through a complex brickwall, we can help with custom, personalized research.

"Laura helped me solve the biggest mystery of my life, my biological paternity. She was very thorough with researching my DNA matches and locating documents to help prove theories. Laura kept me involved in the process and gave me "projects", such as sending letters, and requesting documents. This made me feel like I was part of the discovery. Not only was she true to her research roots, she wasn't afraid of going out on a limb and testing new theories." - Patti C.

"Laura is a tenacious researcher who loves to solve a good mystery. She has tracked down information about various members of our family tree, including narrowing down the birth parents of an adopted great-grandparent. She has been able to locate relevant newspaper articles, photographs, and information from numerous other sources which prove her research to be accurate. She makes the process of building a family tree so easy and remarkably fun! I highly recommend her services if you are curious about your own family tree." - Carole B.

"I would highly recommend Laura if you want to start putting together your family tree. She's professional, upfront, and easy to work with. After answering a few questions, Laura was able to immediately put together information for me including some cool old photos and articles, which I had never seen before. She'll work with you, every step of the way, to make sure you get accurate family history." - Stacey C.
