Laura Doyle is a Professional Genealogist and Researcher with Legacy Tree Genealogists and is located in London, England. Laura's love of, and addiction to, genealogy and family history began some 30 years ago but it is only recently, she was able to make it her second career. Her particular interest is stitching together the titbits of information available in records to build up a picture of our ancestors' lives. Whether the choices they made could be said to be good or bad, they have led us to who we are today and never fail to be fascinating.

Previously a Trustee, Treasurer and Interim CEO for the Society of Genealogists, she is currently the Treasurer and a Trustee for The Halsted Trust, a UK-based charity focused on advancing the education and study of genealogy and family history and promotion of one-name studies.

When Laura gained her MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde, her dissertation focused on the children born into, or conceived during, early Victorian bigamous marriages and the effect (if any) their parent's crime had upon them.

As a genealogist at Legacy Tree Genealogists, we are celebrating 20 years of genealogy research. Click here to learn more about our process and how we have helped hundreds of clients find their ancestors.
