Kathy Bowman
I enjoy connecting families with the stories of their past. My love of genealogy extends back 30 years when I began researching my own family. Along the way this became rather a fetish, and I discovered I loved researching anyone's story!
Because of my personal family history, my skills are broad. My father's relatives emigrated mostly from the UK through Canada (Ontario and New Brunswick), eventually settling in the Midwest. I am comfortable researching in any of these areas. My mother's father immigrated from China to Hawaii. As a non-Chinese speaker, I understand facing a seemingly insurmountable language barrier, combined with overwhelming recognition that a standard genealogy course does not apply to your family situation.
My Master's thesis involved researching immigrants from China to Hawaii. I am happy to help guide you through the process.
With an Master's degree in Genealogy, I am thorough, careful, and can help you with your questions.
