Despite having a great adoptive family, I always wanted to find my birth family. Kathleen quickly located my mother in the Channel Islands, my brother in New Zealand, and two sisters in England and Jersey.
We all met in England, and my family welcomed me warmly. We spent two joyful weeks together in St Brelade, Jersey, where my parents had run a beach business. We shared meals, laughter, and even took a ferry to France. Kathleen also connected me with a cousin in Australia.
Coincidentally, my birth father was named Robert, the same name my adoptive family gave me. I discovered my parents were acrobats, which explained my love for running. My mother, Dawn, still plays badminton regularly. We now chat often on WhatsApp and plan more visits worldwide.
I am deeply grateful to Kathleen for reuniting us. This gift is beyond anything I ever imagined.
