Karen A. Fortin has degrees in History and Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida and a passion for research. She worked for many years in public libraries before switching to genealogical lecturing in 2016. She is a member of various genealogical societies at the national, state, and local levels, and has served on the board of her local society since 2014.
She has presented programs on a wide variety of topics to genealogical societies, public libraries, and other organizations around the country. One of her goals is to help people explore historical periods, places, and events so that they can better understand their ancestors and the world in which they lived.
