Jenna Smith

Forensic Genealogist

Jenna Smith is a professional genealogist with over 35 years of research experience. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from BYU with a family history and genealogy emphasis and a math minor.
Jenna worked as a contract researcher for Legacy Tree Genealogists for four years, where she solved tough southern brick wall problems and tracked European immigrants back to their homelands. Now, she works as a forensic genealogist, solving complex cases involving oil and gas, real estate, and probate matters for KLM Services.
Jenna is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the APG Forensic Special Interest Group. She serves her community by helping new and experienced researchers develop more advanced skills through in-person help and online classes. She has lectured on a variety of topics, including developing research plans and solving difficult problems.
