I've been working on my family history for over 35 years, starting with LDS forms and moving on to computerized and on line trees and computer research.  I'm currently assisting local researchers at various libraries, presenting on various genealogy topics at local libraries, and helping individuals with digitizing boxes of material inherited from ancestors.

I've aided clients to surmount their brick walls by utilizing DNA matches combined with various other sources.  The most successful project was with a woman who was adopted and it was discovered that her mother was adopted, too.  Challenging but utterly satisfying hunt.

I have become the local expert in the use of the RootsMagic software system, presenting and coaching as needed.  I've been using their product for about 8 years and am exploring each of their features along the way.  I use my computer and teaching experience to help others wherever they are in the learning process.

I'm available to speak on introductory genealogy, organizing genealogical records, and using RootsMagic.

Springfield Museum of History, local town clerk offices and libraries.
