With a deep interest in uncovering and preserving family histories, I am excited to join the Association of Professional Genealogists for the invaluable educational opportunities it offers. My personal journey into genealogy began with the exploration of my own family's roots. Being half Samoan and raised in the United States, I have faced unique challenges in tracing my lineage, accessing the rich oral traditions and histories that are often passed down through generations, and interpreting relationships uncovered through DNA matches.

Despite these challenges, my determination to piece together, preserving, and sharing my family’s history has only grown stronger. I have developed a foundation in genealogical research methods, utilizing various tools and resources to uncover and document the stories of my ancestors. Joining the APG represents a significant step forward in my journey, providing me with the knowledge and skills needed to deepen my research and connect with a broader community of genealogy professionals.

I look forward to learning from the wealth of expertise within the APG, enhancing my ability to contribute to the preservation of family histories, and helping others navigate their own genealogical journeys. Through this membership, I hope to bridge the gap between my past and present, ensuring that the stories of my ancestors are remembered and honored by future generations.
