After 30 years in the local police, Gary Lawrie formed Heart of Scotland Ancestry in September 2016. Since that time he has provided ancestral research to clients from around the globe. Regular projects include tracing that elusive ancestor or creating Family Tree Packages from scratch. Gary is based in the historic city of Stirling and specialises in ancestral tourism by providing tailor-made Travel Packages for those visiting Scotland and who wish to learn more about their Scottish ancestry. He has worked in partnership with tour operators and guides to ensure that clients get the best from their time back "home" in Scotland.
With a love for Scottish history and an informative writing style Gary can paint you a picture your ancestors but based on evaluated evidence, as expected of a qualified genealogist.
The focus of Heart of Scotland Ancestry is providing a tailored service to all clients, recognising that no two family histories are the same.
