Genealogist With A Specialization in African American Research

  • Family History Research

  • Ethnicity / Religion
I have over 20 years of experience in genealogy research and am passionate about collaborating on projects for individuals and organizations, including archivists, curators, preservationists, cemeteries, churches, law firms, historians, museums, historical societies, local governments, and academic institutions.

I specialize in genealogy research, focusing on uncovering and analyzing historical records to construct and expand family trees. My work highlights the stories of African Americans, including those who were formerly enslaved and free persons of color, both before and after the Civil War. In some cases, I also trace and connect with living descendants.

Specific genealogy research projects I've conducted successful research for include:

The University of Georgia-Athens (UGA) History of Slavery at the University.

The Kentucky U.S. Colored Troops (USCT) Reckoning Project

The T.R.R. Cobb House & Museum in Athens, Georgia, individuals enslaved by the Cobb Family project.

The Atlanta History Center’s 1906 Atlanta Race Riot and the 1912 Forced Exile of African Americans from Forsyth, County Georgia projects.

U.S. National Park Service, National Underground Railroad, Network to Freedom.
