Elizabeth Stewart Olson is an experienced researcher specializing in Georgia records. An Atlanta native, Elizabeth completed ProGen (6- June 2011) and Boston University's Genealogical Research Professional Certificate Program (OL8- May 2012).
Elizabeth is a member of Georgia Professional Genealogists, The Association of Professional Genealogists, The Georgia Genealogical Society, The NC Genealogical Society, The SC Genealogical Society, The Florida Genealogical Society, The Trail of Tears Society, The Utah Genealogical Society, and a number of other state and local associations.
Elizabeth serves as Chapter President of the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (2015-present).
A former officer of the Georgia Genealogical Society Board of Directors (2008-2016), Elizabeth received the Georgia Genealogical Society 2011 Volunteer Award, a 2012 award from the Society for Extraordinary Leadership in recognition of efforts to save the Georgia Archives, and a 2016 Award of Recognition.
In 2019, Elizabeth was awarded the Birdie Monk Holsclaw Scholarship to attend the Advanced DNA course at the Institute for Historical & Genealogical Research. Also, in 2019, Elizabeth was featured in Georgia Magazine.
Elizabeth is honored to be a Genealogist/Researcher for the U.S. Army Past Conflict Military Repatriation Branch.
