My name is Cheri Smith-Smigielski and I have been a researcher for over 30 years. I began my work in biological family location services in the early 2000's, before DNA testing became available to the public. My background in law enforcement taught me the fine art of detective services. It is often the smallest of details that solves the case. Combined with my genealogy research skills, I solve upwards of 80% of my cases.

In 2007, I began my next phase of genealogy services focusing on genetic research expertise. As my mother was adopted, I solved the mystery of her biological father using DNA. This was the beginning of my intense study and research into how to solve unknown parentage and ancestry using DNA test results. Now, almost twenty years later, I have used this expertise to solve upwards of 100 cases.

I offer my services to you through my website, www.GenealogyATT.com.

I specialize in these areas:
  1. Assist Adoptees in Finding Biological Family Members
  2. Locate lost persons for probate and estate purposes
  3. Connect individuals to Lineage Societies using both traditional and genetic genealogy
  4. Solve Brick Walls
  5. Research for other members of the genealogy family
  6. Help DNA test takers make sense of their results
My services include:
  • 10 hour block of research time which includes: traditional and genetic (DNA) genealogy research
  • Research Report
  • Fill out required Lineage Society Applications
  • Locate missing individuals based upon known information public domains

1. Dagmar T - A letter received Nov 2017: Dear Cheri, I can't thank you enough for all you have done for me. I was completely blown away that I had a grown son, but getting to know him in the last few month has been a joy I could not have foreseen. You are a Godsend! [Signed] John McCarver 2. A letter received Sept 2000 Dear Cheri Smith, I'm know some time has passed, but I thought you might want to know how much it meant to me to be able to find my biological family. Though my mother doesn't really want much to do with me, I have gained three siblings that do! It's been great knowing where I come from. Thanks again.
2. Shelly T - I've been accepted by the Jamestowne Society! Thank you so much for your help!
3. David S - Cheri did such an amazing job with my DNA research! She found out relatively easy who is my biological dad. Even though I don't really care to meet him or his family. The work she did was fast and accurate. She also kept me informed of her progress along the way.
4. John M - I can't thank you enough for all you have done for me. I was completely blown away that I had a grown son, but getting to know him in the last few months has been a joy I couldn't have foreseen. You are a Godsend!
5. Michelle S - Everything is amazing! Susan and I met yesterday. Spent almost 8 hours together. I am beyond happy. I am so grateful to you. Words cannot express that enough!
