I am a senior Staff Genealogist for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), specializing with research efforts related to Virginia and New York during that particular era; I have been working for the DAR since June 2013. I have done my own family research, however, since I was 9 years of age (now over 30 years later!), and still working on some of the brick walls in my lineage. Since 2017, I have also carried under the moniker "The Virginia Genealogist," taking on family history research for various clients with interests in the greater Virginia region, especially in Appalachia and also some burned-county areas of the state. My experience and specialties, however, are not solely limited to Virginia but also include New York and New England, all largely in the 18-19th centuries. My resume of clients includes specific research tasks for the hit PBS television series "Finding Your Roots." When I do have the time, I do try to update my personal blog, "The Ancestral Clark," with some of my updates and latest research findings. I am always frequently working on multiple book projects - all of my published work is currently available as print-to-order through Amazon.

While I do accept new clients, my schedule is frequently booked, so I may not always be readily available for projects under deadline (mostly for those asking for projects within several days to a few weeks). Please note, I am not available for hire to assist with any research related to applications and supplemental applications for the DAR, whether for a future application or for a pending application which may have received an AIR (Additional Information Request). I can otherwise assist with those projects geared towards membership in other lineage societies such as the SAR, GSW1812, etc.
