As a young girl, Angela would sneak into her parents' closet to pull out old letters and journals written by her grandparents and great-grandparents. She would read them over and over again. When she discovered her immigrant 3rd-great-grandfather on a census record, she felt a deep connection and desire to know more about who he was and what kind of life he led. This prompted her to seek a family history degree, which she obtained from Brigham Young University - Idaho. She has been actively researching since 2014.

Angela specializes in English, Irish, and Scottish research. She also has experience with records from various other countries and US states. In addition to the British Isles, recent projects have included records from Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, California, Missouri (St. Louis), and New York (western counties).

Angela's greatest passion is teaching and empowering people to find their own ancestral connections. Nothing brings her more joy than when a student/client identifies evidence that confirms a family connection. She is the British Isles research instructor at the Ogden Family Search Center and has "adopted" several patrons - they and their ancestors have become dear to her. Angela regularly tutors small groups and individuals, and has lectured at the Utah Genealogical Association (Davis Chapter). She also contracts as a research consultant for a genealogy tourism company, which brings international clients to the Family Search Library in nearby Salt Lake City.
