Amber Goodpaster Tauscher's quest to reconnect with her relatives lost to time began in 1996 and soon thereafter she began helping others do the same. Today, she specializes in forensic genealogy, primarily working on military repatriation cases, adoption or unknown parentage and other legal matters by combining her expertise in using traditional genealogical research methods and DNA analysis. Amber has served in a variety of leadership and volunteer positions for both the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) and has presented webinars and lectures at multiple genealogical institutes and conferences.
