Your family tree is a kaleidoscope of your ancestors; when you look into your family history, adjusting the lens as you learn more about your ancestors, the picture of your ancestors may shift and change, too.
About Me
It all started with me own family...
I’ve been there. When a close family member submitted an AncestryDNA kit, our family was confronted with a startling revelation. The report did not include the expected ethnicity results, which quickly made us realize that the family member’s father, an immigrant whose ethnicity was not represented in the DNA results, could not have been her biological father.
It was a puzzle I was determined to solve, and I discovered and used techniques that would later become more widely known as genetic genealogy to solve the puzzle and identify the biological father. Obviously, this reshaped everything our family thought it know about our heritage. Once I realized how valuable these techniques were to helping other families find answers like we did, I began helping others solve their genetic puzzles. I quickly discovered a love for genealogy.
I love family histories, I love finding clues and solving puzzles, and I love helping people. As a professional genealogist, I can dedicate time and attention to this very time-intensive and very rewarding work.
I'm a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and I can also help you with your DRT application research and/or your Texas Heritage Birth Certificate application (these make fun gifts, too). Contact me to find out more!
