Mid-Atlantic Chapter Named Winner of 2024 Excellence Award

At the 23 April 2025 meeting of the Board of Directors, APG president Suzanne Hoffman presented the 2024 Chapter/Special Interest Group Excellence Award to the Mid-Atlantic Chapter. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter was singled out for a number of strong achievements in 2024, including:
- Broadening the reach of the chapter through the rebranding of Greater Philadelphia Area to Mid-Atlantic, better representing the geographic region;
- Growing chapter membership by 38.9%;
- Holding 69 events in their first year, including chapter meetings, board meetings, in-person tours, weekly chats, and study groups;
- Expanding educational programs to include a monthly lunch & learn, tech study group, and a forensic book study group;
- Streamlining chapter governance processes such as board meetings, elections, leadership roles, and policies;
- Adopting APG website functionality to assist with chapter signups, events, and more; and
- Creating chapter merchandise and a regional cookbook
"The board of directors of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of APG is thrilled to receive the honor of the Chapter Excellence Award for 2024,” said chapter president Sarah Dobson Fullem. “Our board collaborated well as a team and worked diligently to bring exciting and fulfilling programming to our membership. We hope to continue this tradition into 2025 and beyond."
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s current board includes Alaine Keisling (vice president), Kristin Kaercher (Treasurer), Hope Glidden (Secretary), and Kris Jackson (Chapter Representative). They would also like to acknowledge the efforts of former board members Joseph Roby and Lori Flynn for their assistance in 2024.
