Watch Advocacy Training Videos for Family History Hill Day

1 April 2025

The Records Preservation and Access Coalition (RPAC) recently conducted advocacy training to prepare for a US event known as Family History Hill Day, where RPAC, APG, the National Genealogical Society, and other genealogical groups will go to visit the US representatives on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to advocate for records access and the maintenance of the budget for the National Archives. Members can access the recording in the Webinar Library here, within the Advocacy section.

RPAC is sponsored by the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) and the National Genealogical Society (NGS), and supported by the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG), the American Society of Genealogists (ASG), and the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Members of RPAC Committee meet monthly to advise the genealogical community on ensuring proper access to vital records and on supporting strong records preservation policies and practices.
