Amber Oldenburg Joins APG as Social Media Specialist

The Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) is pleased to announce that Amber Oldenburg, of Brownsburg, Indiana, USA, has been named as Social Media Specialist for the Association. Oldenburg is an experienced social media manager, speaker, and professional genealogist who oversees social media accounts for several genealogy-focused organizations by creating engaging, audience-specific content. APG’s Social Media Specialist is a contract position that works closely with the APG Communications Manager to monitor APG’s social media channels and engage with members and followers.
"I am delighted to add Amber to our communications team, as we develop more ways to promote our members' expertise through social media,” said APG Executive Director Michelle Dwyer Cohen.
The owner of One Branch at a Time, Oldenburg has been an online instructor in the Family History Research program at Brigham Young University-Idaho since 2020. She specializes in United States Midwest research and is currently working toward professional accreditation with the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists in the North Central United States region. She received a B.S. from BYU-Idaho.
