APG Hires New Proofreader for APG Quarterly

13 January 2025

Ashley Sullivan, of Holyoke, Colorado, USA, has been announced as a new proofreader for the APG Quarterly (APGQ). In addition to her passion for genealogy, she has nearly fourteen years of experience working for a weekly newspaper where her responsibilities spanned all departments, including proofreading.

“My time spent poring over the newspaper archives and researching local history for special projects is really what ignited my passion for genealogy,” said Sullivan. “Most of my research is focused on the Western and Midwestern regions in the United States, but I also often find myself researching in the Northeastern United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.”

Julie Cahill Tarr, Managing Editor of APGQ, welcomed Sullivan by saying, “with Ashley’s amazing skills, she will make a great addition to our team.”  The APGQ proofreader helps to ensure the final version of the journal is accurate, free from errors, and consistent in style and content.
