APG Seeking Social Media Specialist - Contract Position

The Association of Professional Genealogists is seeking qualified candidates to fill the contractor position of Social Media Specialist.

The Social Media Specialist works closely with the APG Communications Manager and is responsible to the Executive Director (ED) (who reports to the Executive Committee [EC] of the Association). 

The contracted Social Media Specialist shall have the following responsibilities and deliverables, all of which are subject to change, modification, or elimination from time to time by the ED and/or EC, in their sole discretion, provided that new duties or responsibilities may not be added without the consent of the Social Media Specialist.  

• Monitor all APG social media channels and social media advertising campaigns, engaging appropriately in APG’s voice. 
• Engage with users and respond to all comments and questions in a timely manner. 
• Collaborate with Communications Manager on creating social media schedule(s). 
• Create end-of-month summaries of social media activities and trends. 
• Analyze data to see if media efforts have met their goals.
