APG Names Two Winners of the 2024 APG New Professional Scholarship

The Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the world’s largest association for the genealogical profession, today announced Kaitlyn K. Pauley of Buckhannon, West Virginia, USA, and Karlee Twiner of Maryville, Tennessee, USA, as the winners of the organization’s 2024 New Professional Scholarship.
The APG New Professional Scholarship (previously known as the Young Professional Scholarship) was established in 2008 to recognize and support new professionals who have a strong interest in developing a career in the genealogical field. To be considered, an applicant must have five years or less of professional service in the field. Both scholarship winners receive complimentary registration to APG’s Virtual Professional Management Conference, to be held 19–21 September 2024.
Kaitlyn K. Pauley is Owner and Lead Researcher of Pauley Genealogical Services, LLC. She graduated from BYU–Idaho with a degree in Family History Research and recently graduated from ProGen Cohort 66. She is a member of the ICAPGen Resources Gathering Committee and is a volunteer researcher for the Know Your Ancestors podcast.
Karlee Twiner, a graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU), is a Metadata Specialist with FamilySearch, as well as Founder/CEO of Family Tree Travels, coordinating research trips to Ireland. She was previously Data Content Lead at World Archives: Storied, and a Research Assistant with the BYU Center for Family History and Genealogy.
