Cathie Sherwood, owner of Family History Academy, an online learning provider, will open the PMC with her keynote presentation “Navigating New Courses: The Future of Genealogy Education.” Whether you are just beginning your career or are a seasoned professional, the 2024 Virtual PMC program has content that will help you. This year’s program provides innovative business practices and ideas you can implement immediately to benefit your career.
Over the course of 3 days, participants may choose from presentations on a variety of topics including diversification of services, client management, AI and technology, financial management, forensic genealogy, marketing and branding, and writing.
Presenters at the 2024 Virtual PMC include well-known genealogy professionals from around the world who will share their expertise, including: Fiona Brooker; Catherine B. W. Desmarais, CG; Nicole Dyer; Angela Packer McGhie, CG, FUGA; and Dr. Penny Walters.
Sessions will be 75 minutes each, a 60-minute presentation allowing for in depth exploration of the topic, followed by a 15-minute question and answer period. Closed captioning will be available via live Zoom captioning.
Pre-Conference Workshops
The 2024 Virtual PMC will also offer deep dives into practical topics with two pre-conference workshops on 18 September:
- “Mapping Your Marketing: Navigating Strategies for Reaching Genealogical Audiences” with Sara Dawson
- “The Year My Business Grew Up: Implementing AI, Automations, and Workflows” with Rhonda Lauritzen
The early-bird conference registration price for APG members is just USD $195 ($250 for non-members). Prices will go up USD $50 after 17 August 2024.
