APG Call for Webinar Proposals 2025-26
The APG Professional Development Committee is seeking proposals for virtual webinar presentations that support the practice, education, and business interests of the professional genealogist.
Past topics have included marketing, time management, legal and ethical issues, client and business management, and continuing education as well as presentations on speaking, teaching, and writing. Topics are not limited to these fields, but should focus on professional development, or advancing the professional genealogist's business or practical skills.
Some examples of past webinar presentations include: "ABCs of Accounting for a Genealogy Business," "Genetic Genealogy for Professionals: Research Reports," "Developing, Marketing, and Teaching an Online Course," and "Productivity Hacks for Professional Genealogists," among others. APG members may access the full webinar library on our website by going to the Members > Continuing Education > Webinar Library.
Webinars are held monthly online via Zoom, and typically include 45-50 minutes of content with additional time for Q&A facilitated by a moderator. Speakers will be compensated and should also plan to provide a syllabus or handout to accompany their talk.
Deadline for April 2025–March 2026 Webinars: 15 January 2025 at 11:45 PM EST.
