Here I Am! Marketing Your Professional Services

Presenter: Diana Crisman Smith

How can anyone else know how wonderful you are if you don’t tell them? There is a market for genealogical services, but it is not unlimited. If you want someone to hire you to do what you love, you must make yourself known and convince them that you are the person to take care of their needs. It may seem a daunting task, but there are some tricks you can use to maximize your reach.

About the Presenter

Diana Crisman Smith is active in numerous genealogical organizations, serving as current or past Board member of ISFHWE (International Society of Family History Writers and Editors); the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG); and the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), as well as local organizations. She serves as a lay volunteer at the Westlake Family History Center, where she has spent more than twenty years assisting patrons with research issues, especially Scandinavia and the Midwest United States. She and husband, Gary, operate Smith Genealogy Services (http://dianagarysmith).
